I was first diagnosed nearly three years ago. It was a shock, and it took a while to accept it and realise that there was still a full life to be lived. I decided that I would do everything possible to achieve that with exercise and alternative treatments rather than medication and my life has not changed enormously because of that. I play golf regularly also better than before and five a side football weekly at a very competitive standard.
I would like to give my wife jean a special mention we have been married for nearly 30 years and she has been my rock and Parkinson’s motivator throughout our time together. My life would not be as rich without her, also to my fantastic children, family and friends who support all my endeavours and give me encouragement and motivation
Thank you to Richard Ellis who introduced me to a great bunch of fellow Parkinson’s footballers and then to sport Parkinson’s. Now a great part of my life while on this journey.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has sponsored this fantastic event, which will improve the lives of countless sufferers of Parkinson’s disease in so many ways. Stay fit and strong till a cure comes along!
Leave a good luck message below for Norman – and we will publish it here!
