Sport Parkinson’s has focused its work on bringing both the community and the herculean efforts of those who have put together – classes, courses, leagues and any opportunities to enrich and increase the activity, and tackle loneliness and depression in Parkinson’s. Also to raise money to assist in the removal of boundaries – to buy something as simple as a pair of trainers, or as important as a long held ambition to climb a tree.
This change happened after listening to the community, and was how our first two events came about.
We made the decision to go out into the community, and listened to what they wanted, and put together a set of events that reflected what they asked for. We will continue to do this, change and evolve to reflect the community needs.Charlie Appleyard, Sport Parkinson’s Director
