Alex Stephen

Sport has been a big part of my life, pulling me through when life’s got tough. At a young age I won a lot of trophies playing football and golf. 21st of November 1979 (19 years old) I had an accident at work which changed my life completely. I had learn to do the basics again such as walking and talking. As a result of this, I lost all confidence in my job as an engineer. I had a few different onshore jobs but spent 15 year offshore as a steward on many different rigs. In 2016 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s while working offshore. It didn’t change my attitude or positivity for life. I keep active playing golf and a lot of walking.
